Hmm, I'd have thought the big guy would have decided that he'd given the kid a lesson already!

He's annoyed at the thought that the duel might make him late for the party. :o

Definitely a good idea switching in favour of red...crab red I'd wager.

All the best people will be there in their fab pantaloons! Crab red is very fashionable this year.

God, that rat with his little dinner outfit had me chuckling for a good long while =D

"And while the rat was tiring his prey, he had butter melted over a fire nearby for when the hunt was over." Rat has good taste!

Near that fire is a tiny cask of wine and bit of bread crumbs and a leek. These Calubrig river rats know how to dine. ;)

Durgo's floating head over the crab is a tad scary... :-)

Great update but... NO FILLER!! I was all set for some Elf Renaissance gown action. ;-)

Gahh! Floating boy head! Sorry, no filler this week. I'll post a fil... I mean, a bonus drawing in a few days. ;)

The rope-a-dope tactic. <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IX60mIDi7sI> A word of advise to Hrodger: don't get your pantaloons in a wad.

I just watched the entire 1974 Ali vs Foreman match last night. Ali looked like he was slow roasting Foreman. He tests him to see if he's done several times but patiently saves his energy until Foreman is ready to fall. What a great fight!

Now, what is an epic without a fable or so?

Crab vs Rat: that be a fable, yes? Fable-ulous

I remember someone telling a story about how he'd seen rats catching fish near the harbor in New York in the 30's. I've looked for cases of rats hunting crabs but this is about all I could find:

LOVE Little Durgo's expression, and the rat's dinner outfit and fork.

The disembodied kid's head above the surreal beach battle scene is disturbing, but good disturbing. And retro, like something out of a comic from 50+ years ago.

That is some third panel there! Flashback floaty head. Crab sweat. Correct two-tined crab fork for correct riverside dining etiquette.
