My crowd funding campaign has been progressing very slowly in the last 10 days. This is the secret weapon that could generate some excitement! Check out the Elf Kickstarter page for more details! :D

Elf Kick

Daniel the Creator suggested that I submit my story to bleedingcool.com and I did. They posted it!! :D Thanks for the tip, Daniel!

well you have that in spades.. just wish it spent for you to get your book out :(

It would be cool if you could somehow run a super short ad on the Cartoon Network about your Elf Campaign, something, anything.
Got any connections there that could help you with that?

I have some friends in the biz that helped to get the word out. The only thing that can get me airtime is millions of dollars, I'm afraid.

I've heard that the middle period of a crowd funding campaign is often quite slow.

Oh by the way your cards are awesome.
I noticed that the "Exploding Kittens" card game beat the all time Kickstarter record, but if you do some research, the guy who ran that campaign was a famous Xbox game developer with like 50,000 Twitter followers that he could tap into. He could of probably sold a "pet rock" for a million dollars.

Yeah, having a large "tribe" that already knows your work is essential for a successful campaign. My tribe is small, so I have a tough campaign ahead of me. But I'm going to keep at it!

I've been learning a lot about this process. When I'm done, I'll be able to dispense some insight to folks who're thinking about launching their own crowd funding venture.

Hell, I'm ready now! If anyone wants any advice, PM me.

I'm in baby! Great cards and I loved the Deck of Many Things. If I had two Hands of Vecna, I'd give you a proper standing O.

If you had 2 Hands of Vecna and you were making dinner for a lady on a romantic date sort of thing, it'd get awkward because your hands are not really sanitary since they're dead and rotting and then she'd get kind of grossed out. :(

I have never had a woman complain about getting a back rub from my Hands of Vecna. Brown-chicken - brown-cow.

Oh man, I hope this makes its target.

Oh yeah. I hope so too. I'm pretty excited about the cards, actually!

And this deck will be used in my 1st edition campaign. May the Gygax have mercy on my players souls!

Awesome! I think I'll make about 2/3 of the cards good and 1/3 bad. A few will be REALLY GOOD and a few REALLY BAD. ;)

I don't suppose we could get the backer T-shirts with no text on the back? That's the only thing making me hesitate, since I really like textless shirts.

I get it if that's not logistically or financially feasible. Will probably fund the campaign either way honestly, but textless shirts would make it a slam-dunk.

Good idea! I'll offer the choice of text on the back or none. In fact, not printing on the back will actually save some money. I'll update the site shortly.

Hi there. I really want to contribute to the kickstater (specifically, the $40 level). Unfortunately, I'm unable to because KS doesn't accept PayPal, and I don't have a credit/debit card.

Is there any other way to help out and receive a book, or will the book be available for purchase at a later date?
Songgu Kwon 3rd Mar 2015, 7:25 PM edit delete reply

Mr. Willow,

If the campaign is successful, the book should become available for purchase... eventually. Of course, if the campaign is unsuccessful, it won't be available at all. Maybe one option is to pay a friend to pledge for you?

Just make sure you trust this friend, lest they run off with your book once they see how beautiful it is!! :P
