Amazing what you did with her dress in this one. Your inks look organic and alive, they flow like liquid, like controlled chaos.
Is that what you did? Did you just let the ink kind of spontaneously for m some of the shapes and then stitch them together in one unified shape?
I think you really do love working with ink.
Yeah, I dig working with brush and ink... until the brush eventually starts to go rogue. You kind of have to surrender some control and let it do its thing.
Heh totally. Nothing against the good old fire axe against zombies, but I prefer a bit of reach to stay out of zombie breath range, so the long sword it is.
Sorry btw that I didn't comment in time on short-haired Elf. And her "battledress" here looks awesome too! =)
Ha ha, I see what you mean. It looks like most of the positions depicted in his long sword manuscripts are held high and the fighters do look like they're straining!
I was not very familiar with this work. I think it gives us great insight into how they fought with swords. Note the focus on high attacks where the greatest reach can be achieved due to the geometry of the human body.
There are two spear guards left and right window that match this, the window being the open side of the body, ie inviting an attack to that side or through that window
Maybe because the cross formed by the hilt makes it look kind of like you're looking out through a window???
Not sure why I transposed those guard names.
