The consistency with which you draw your characters makes me sick with jealousy.

Thanks! You are no slouch in the making your characters look consistent department either. ;)

Ah, the old trusty 'shoot first' approach!

Nothing is as it seems in this world, looking forward to how this battle will unfold!

The Elf has a plan! Probably.

I changed the update day to Thursday... or Thor'sday, as it were. And to answer your question...

oh thats right! ok .. Clarence the tank it is! hard butts for the win ! ( just skipped back to his sheet :D )

As the Fighter, melee should be Clarence' strong suit. The Elf is so much higher level she can probably still do more damage with her sword than he can with his. But he will level relatively quickly, and, after a few more battles like this. come into his own. With high Dex and Con, he seems cut out to be a tank, eventually. I'm curious to see if Pieter's Alchemy skill is useful in combat. I don't expect his dagger to be much of a threat to "good fighters." And don't forget reconnaissance from the wren.

Your analysis is correct. Clarence has the most potential for the tank role, provided he's geared properly. Just look at his Constitution!

This is how every encounter I've ever participated in started, no matter the odds. It's not fun unless it's kick-in-the-door

Yup, that's usually how it goes.

You see a bunch of jerkys in the distance doing you know, like, jerky stuff and they haven't noticed you yet. What do you do?

I shoot them with my bow.

Love the opening panel looking down at the village. I was wondering Gu; why doesn't she wear something more practical, something more historically accurate? Something like a chain thong and metal bra?
Dean Clark 9th Feb 2013, 12:59 PM edit delete reply
Dean Clark
Or maybe an armadillo skin bra an Amazon princess gives her in gratitude for saving her people.

Armadillo skin bras are notoriously un-comfy.

Songgu - The trombone section approves.

Gibberish - Historically accurate? That just makes me think of Jabba The Hut's Sail Barge. Ok. Maybe she didn't have a chain thong, but she could have in my mind's eye in 1983... :)

Guys, I appreciate the great suggestions but drawing historically accurate chain & metal bikinis is really really hard, okay? I just don't have the time and resources to make everything historically accurate like that. :(

but what of minions? surely you could scare up some minions to help draw chain-mail and whatnot?

Sadly, I have not a single minion. Waah. :(

Those braids look familiar. Is that 'dead halfling rezzed as a caterpillar's' girl that is being held by the mercenaries?
Songgu Kwon 10th Feb 2013, 1:11 PM edit delete reply
Songgu Kwon
Nope. She's a young human girl. I imagine in this world, human children are often mistaken for halflings.

Thanks! Extreme horizontal / vertical panels always make the layout a bit more interesting.
